This fit, but the lightweight quality did not satisfy my needs. I am heavy in the back and underarms and was looking for support in those areas. You will not get that support with this garment. The straps were thin and the bra cups sagged due to the lack of support in the rest of the garment. This would be a good bra for someone who is very broad in the chest and back and small breasted who does not need overall support.
- Jackie, Bethel AK US, Age: 50’s September, 2009, Petite (5′3″ and under), Size: 40A
No more bruising from the underwires. This bra is comfortable is much more comfortable for me than the Anita underwire. I’ve lost over 100 pounds in the last couple of years, and and at age 58 this leads to some major sag. The wire-free does almost as good a job as the underwire at keeping the girls upright. However, the wearability and comfort is worth it!
This bra does seem to run smaller than the Twin series and the straps are not quite as long. It does provide full coverage, which the Twin wire-free does not.
- Ann, social work manager, Waterford, CT, Age: 50’s November, 2008, Average Height (5′4″-5′8″), Size: 38D
This bra would be perfect except that the boning causes some discomfort after a full day of wear (as others noted). It seems the “bones” buckle rather than laying flat and form pressure points. The straps are fine for me, but on this style, I agree with others that they would be too short for a tall person. I normally have to shorten straps a LOT more than I did on this bra. As I do with most Anita bras, I sized down on the band and am using an extender. I seem to be a bit between sizes and the narrower band feels more supportive (although, until it stretches, would be too small for me without the extender).
Positives: gives good support, lift and shaping; padded enough to conceal without looking fake or feeling icky; attractive; well made; straps not too wide; bra back does not ride. If washing and wearing don’t address the discomfort, I am going to consult with an experienced lingerie seamstress to see whether the boning could be removed without ruining the bra. It is too hard to find a well-fitting, attractive, supportive soft cup bra, so would be worth the expense of altering it.
- Sarah, Boston, MA, Age: 40’s October, 2008, Average Height (5′4″-5′8″), Size: 34E
If you are tall, or have a long torso, do NOT buy this bra! I am 6′0, but do not have an exceptionally long torso for my height, and the straps on this bra are nowhere NEAR long enough!! I let them out as far as I possibly could and they were still pulling the bra up to where the bottom of the band was across the middle of my shoulder blades and my breasts felt as though they were going to pop out from UNDERNEATH the cups! Also, it seems that the cup size on this bra ran quite large. If you are of average weight and height, and usually need to tighten up your straps a good bit in order to achieve a good fit with most bras, then this could potentially be a very comfortable bra for you (but you might want to order a cup size smaller). The cups and band felt quite soft, and there is ample padding in the cups to provide smooth coverage with no show-through. However, if you do not fit into the aforementioned “average” size, I would strongly suggest you skip this one and keep on looking…!
- Shannon, Dawsonville, GA April, 2008, Size: 44C
Finally a bra that works for me! I am augmented and my doctor does not recommend wearing underwire of any kind. For months I have searched for a wireless bra that provides proper support and doesn’t look too old or have too much coverage. This is the one! It has great lift–I look 10lbs thinner in my clothes because everything is where it should be. Try it!
HerRoom Response: FYI, many women with augmented breasts wear underwires without a problem.
– Leanne, Corona, CA December, 2007, Size: 34E
This is bar none the best fitting and most comfortable bra I have ever worn. Seems like it works great for women who have a broad chest and back and (relatively) small breasts. This is a hard figure to find a good bra for so its really exciting to find one. Makes my clothes look great and its comfortable- one of the few bras I don’t want to tear off the minute I get home. However if you look at the sizes on the comments posted here seems like it may not work as well for other figure types.
- Donna, NY USA October, 2007, Size: 44B
I have had a very difficult time for at least 4 years finding a bra that fits me well. Most of the time I have just resorted to a camisole with a shelf bra as I could not find an A cup. I have been measured and really need a Barely A but I can not find that size. And the other part I was glad to find was one that had no lace and no seams across the cup as that can be very painful for me! The only negative to me is the price and it definitely is one that WILL NOT go in to the washing machine or dryer!
- Mary, Pittsburgh, PA September, 2007, Size: 42A
I purchased this bra because it received rave reviews for comfort. The comfort level is horrible. I have to take it off mid-day it is so uncomfortable. I even ordered a size larger than my normal band size. It also provides no shape to my breast and cannot be worn with anything other than black because the shape looks so awful. I do not recommend this bra to anybody. It was a waste of $70. I would have returned it if I had not worn it being an undergarment.
- Patricia, Houston Texas August, 2007, Size: 38DD
I have been trying a lot of bras lately and a lot of sizes. This is the best fitting and most comfortable of the bunch. I can wear it all day at work and not have to tear it off the moment I walk through the door. It also is made of a light fabric so that I don’t get too hot while wearing it. It also dries that much quicker as well. Great bra!

Customer Reviews
I was looking for a bra to wear under my bridesmaid dress. I am normally a 42 or 44 D and so I knew, based on other reviews, to order a size or two up for a longline. Definitely do that, this bra is snug! This bra fit me, but did not allow me to move around comfortably. It was not very flexible when I moved. I could not imagine wearing it for an entire day so I returned it.
HerRoom Response: Thank you for your feedback. This is actually the feeling that most longline bras will give you.
– L, PA, Age: 20’s
November, 2009, Petite (5′3″ and under), Size: 46C
am usually in between a 32 and 34. I chose the 34 to make sure that it would fit over my hips, which are proportionately much larger than my ribcage. It seems to me that this style runs small in the band as I was unable to even fasten the 34 at the highest point. The material wasn’t exactly comfortable and the shape of the cups reminded me of something from the 50’s, pointy. Although I wasn’t able to tell for sure how pointy as I couldn’t figure out how to get myself into the cups properly. There is boning in odd places. Essentially the boning forms an ellipse around the nipple. It is odd. Maybe it’s a generational thing?
HerRoom Response: Longlines are a difficult fit unless your body is sized proportionately. IF your hips are larger than your chest, many times you will need to go up a band size to get it to fit.
Elila Response: if the band is it too tight, nothing is going to fit correctly and it will be too difficult to close (impossible). Also, t the cup boning is what shapes the bust and gives it uplift (like a bridge or house, it is a supporting beam).
– Jessica, WSU Staff, Pullman, WA, Age: 20’s
September, 2009, Tall (5′9″ and over), Size: 34F
I measured myself according to the instructions on the website but when I received the bra, the cups were way too big. I needed this for a wedding and it was a huge inconvenience to order online and then get the item only to have it not fit. I now have to return it and wait 2-3 weeks for a refund and, in the meantime, I had to drive to Portland, over 40 miles, and waste more time and money to buy the item before the wedding. I don’t think I will order anything like this online again, I’d rather be able to try it on before spending so much money. – Missy, St Helens, OR, Age: 20’s
August, 2008, Size: 38G
When I first received the elila bra I looked at it I was like Oh! that bra looks big, but once I tried it on with my wedding dress I knew right then that was the bra for me, it is nice and comfortable and has much support, it holds every thing in, because I’m a small girl with large breast so I’ve been looking for a bra for a long time that would make me look even smaller at the top again. I would recommend this bra to any woman that has large breast and looking for much support. – Fredrika, housewife/student, Kenner,La.
April, 2008, Size: 36F
This garment was nowhere near the size it was supposed to be. I have been trying numerous bras to wear with my wedding gown and have been able to use 38DDD to 40G in different styles. Some fit better than others, but they all fit. I was not even able to get this supposed 40G to close, it was at least 1.5 inches from closing. It is hard enough to find strapless bras in larger sizes, it would be nice if they actually were the size they claim to be. – Larisa, San Francisco, CA
March, 2008, Size: 40G
Does not fit at all, way too small. I just started the South Beach Diet with great results so I haven’t decided if I should return. Seems to be of good quality & my husband likes the silky material. However; if you wear a 44 bra size, you should order this in a 46 (will probably fit like a corset), or a 48 (probably needed to be comfortable). If you lay it out on a bed and measure across the bottom from hook to outer loop and pull it slightly to straighten out material, it measures 36 inches on the 44 longline bra I ordered.
HerRoom Response: A note on comparing bras with one another. There really is no insight gained here. Manufacturers consider the stretch of the fabric when determining the sizing. If different fabrics are used, the lengths will be different.
– Beth, Buffalo
September, 2007, Size: 44E/DD
This strapless bra is a wonder. It has fantastic slimming qualities. The only problem is that I found I was not able to get it on by myself. I had to have someone close it for me, like to corsets of old or a girdle! But no matter! It stays in place and works well to trim out the waistline. – Lia, Bowie, MD
September, 2007, Size: 36F
his bustier was truer to size than the Va Bien Full Figure long line bustier. I like the long line better because it acts more like a girdle at the bottom instead of allowing your stomach to protrude below like the Elila 6420. – amy, medical technologist, portland, oregon, usa
April, 2008, Size: 36 G
I am not sure if your sizes run small but this is the size that I normally wear but this was completely too small. It would have been helpful to know that your sizes run small!
HerRoom Response: We feel this longline bra runs true to size. However, fit can be an issue with a large waist.
– Sarah, Columbus, Ohio, Age: 20’s
June, 2008, Size: 42G
The cup fit was perfect! I actually had to exchange for a size smaller than I thought I was. I wish it would have been a tad longer since I have such a long torso, but it was cute and sexy and supported “the girls!” (a miracle in itself!) – Kacie, Boise, ID, USA, Age: 30’s

Finally! I believe I have found a bra that comes closest to being perfect (after searching for 30 years ;-) . Please note, this bra is only CLOSEST to perfect, as I can’t imagine anything that relies upon support from a band around the rib cage and lungs to be ideal! Female engineers, where are you?? Regardless! This bra is very attractive, has seaming for support and fit, comes in a couple of color options, is feminine without being over the top, and important to me, has a smooth band under the bust (no scratchy lace that folds over onto itself as soon as you sit down—what’s up with that, anyway?)! Lunaire bras are a great value for the money, and it’s a pleasure to find this particular Lunaire style. Thank you, HerRoom, for carrying this brand! – Elizabeth, Virginia Beach, VA, Age: 50’s

I’ve worn this bra for about 10 years. It is comfortable, supportive and soft. I love the lace and the slings that provide excellent shaping. Here’s what I don’t love, the wire is the first thing that wears out — consequently I have had to replace the bras before they wear out. Secondly my shoulders are very round and the straps don’t stay put — very annoying. Thinking these issues might be mine, I tried a larger band size and a larger cup size. I think I’ve addressed the wire issue. Would love suggestions for the straps.
HerRoom Response: We don’t understand your comment about the wires wearing out. If you mean they are breaking, there are several reasons for this. Your straps falling down on this bra could be because your band size is too big and thus your straps are too far apart.

This bra is very pretty and well-made. I only wish the sides and back were more substantial — there is very little band support with this bra. As a result, it doesn’t feel right, as if its support is solely through the underwire. The ultra-soft and low-cut band under the arms and at the back tend to roll up, mostly due, I think, to the softness of the fabric and the cut of the band. However, this bra is much nicer and provides better support than the four other bras I’ve tried through HerRoom.com. I don’t know if the “perfect” bra is out there, and this is by far the best one I’ve tried. I am determined to lose weight so that maybe I can get into a reasonable bra size, and therefore have more style choices.
HerRoom Response: When the band rolls, this is usually a sign that your band is too small.

I am happy with Lunaire overall. This particular bra is a little loose along the top edges of the cup but not enough to be objectionable. I find similar fit issues as my other Lunaire with the band size. I measure 32 and find this is tight with Lunaire but I am hesitant to order the next band size up for fear that will alter the fit of the cup and may be almost too big in the band. Although the band is tight, it is not so much that I do not also feel I have much better support and overall comfort from the more expensive bras I have had over the years. I will continue with Lunaire as my preferred brand.
HerRoom Response: One suggestion would be to try a size 34DD. This will give you the same cup size, but you will have a larger band.

I purchased this bra along with a Vanity Fair style 75-134. The Vanity Fair has a one inch longer band. This bra is very pretty, but the band fit VERY tight (I had a very hard time hooking it). Also, the straps were to far over and I knew it would slip off my shoulders. However, I did like the shape it gave me. I decided not to try a larger size.
HerRoom Response: Due to fabrics having different stretch, comparing two different bras for their length is not really going to tell you if the bra will be too big or small before you try it on.

My rib cage expanded outward as a result of pregnancy (probably as a result of my short waist and not enough space inside my trunk), which makes this garment dig into my ribs in the front. Also, after many years and bras, at my size I like bras with wider, cushioned straps, otherwise they dig and cut. I’m sorry that it wasn’t comfortable, because it looked beautiful on me. Looking at the reviews, I see that I’m in the minority – I’m happy that so many other women are thrilled with it. BTW, HerRoom is a great website – it is better than any bra department or specialty store that I’ve been to! Continue the great work and service! – Cocoa, New York, Age: 50’s

Each bra fits very well. I find them to be very comfortable. The only thing that I noticed was that now they are being made with two rows of hooks & eyes when in the past they have been made with 4 rows. I think only time will tell if they continue to wear well. I have worn this style bra for the last 3 1/2 years. I was so happy to be able to buy this brand online since we have no retailer in our area. I have found they last a long time. I never dry them in the dryer, though I do wash them in a lingerie bag in the washing machine. I recommend them highly. – Martha, Jericho, VT, USA, Age: 60’s

Well, after about a million & one purchases to find the perfect bra, this one comes very close. Pro – Ditto to all the other reviews. Plus…the straps are none stretch and adjustable all the way up, this is a good thing if you’re short and need shorter straps. Con – the cups gives a bit of a pointy shape, not exactly round like I prefer…but that could be because its not quite broken into yet. Ultimately, CUDO’s to you Lunaire! This is a very good bra…and the price ain’t bad either. – Marie, Accountant, Teaneck, NJ, USA, Age: 30’s

It’s Pretty.
I got it in black
That they even make a pretty bra this big.
Cons:
Not an F– it’s smaller, maybe more like DD (explanation below)
Not much backing to the lace so it can be a little itchy as times.
My problem with this bra is that even though the underwire is correct, the amount of material in the cup doesn’t really give itself to F-sized breasts.
Note: It’s not a case of me ordering the wrong size because I’ve been sized (which prompted me to order bras online because the ones in the store that sized me were hideous).

Incredible design, giving excellent support with comfort and beauty. Enhances everything you wear and looks great on its own, you can’t beat that! I’ve been a Lunaire customer for about eight years and find integrity in all the products I’ve purchased. Personally I haven’t found a negative thing to comment on. Considering how long they last, even the price is
more than fair. ENJOY….
